Whitemarsh Township's Touch-A-Truck event at Miles Park has a confirmed time, price and registration process for families attending Saturday, Sept. 26.
The annual event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Miles Park Lower Parking Lot, 374 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill. Admission is $2 per person for anyone age 2 and older.
The event goes on rain or shine.
When we reported Wednesday, Sept. 16, the township had not yet released a start time or cost. Those details appear on the Colonial School District community announcements page, which the district cross-posted Friday, Sept. 18.
Pre-registration is required because parking at Miles Park is limited. Families can sign up online through CommunityPass on the township's website or by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 610-828-7276. Spots are divided into hourly timeslots across the three-hour window.
The Parks and Recreation Department described the event as a chance for kids to see community vehicles up close, climb behind the wheel and meet the people who operate them. Food trucks will be on site for purchases.
The township has not released a list of participating vehicles or agencies for this year's event.
