A five-story, 113-room Residence Inn hotel proposed for 201 Plymouth Road in Plymouth Meeting goes before Plymouth Township's Planning Agency on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m.
The applicants, 201 Plymouth Road LLC and SMG Hotels, are seeking a recommendation for preliminary plan approval, as first reported by MoreThanTheCurve. The Residence Inn brand was identified in the planning agency agenda, MoreThanTheCurve reported.
The hotel is not a brand-new proposal. MoreThanTheCurve reported that the project was previously approved and that the applicants have sought extensions in recent years. A Plymouth Township workshop agenda from Feb. 3, 2025, listed the project as land development case L.D. 18-4 with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2025.
The Nov. 11 meeting date itself reflects a schedule change. Plymouth Township moved the Planning Agency meeting from its original date of Wednesday, Nov. 4, according to a public notice. The time and location stayed the same, and other township meetings were not affected.
