Whitemarsh fall registration opens with hayrides, Touch-a-Truck ahead

Whitemarsh Township Parks & Recreation opened registration Sunday, Aug. 16, for a fall season packed with community events and weekly programs for all ages.

Three marquee events anchor the calendar, according to a civic alert on the township's website:

Touch-a-Truck — Saturday, Sept. 26, at Miles Park. Kids can climb on fire engines, dump trucks and emergency vehicles. Pre-registration is required.
Fall Shredding Day — Saturday, Oct. 3. Residents can bring sensitive documents for free on-site destruction.
Witches of Whitemarsh — October. The popular hayride returns for its annual run, and pre-registration is required.

Registration is open now.

Beyond the big events, the department is running ongoing programs in dance, fitness, youth adventure classes, greenhouse activities, adult special needs programming and toddler enrichment. The township described the fall lineup as having "something tailored just for you," whether residents prefer movement classes or hands-on activities with their kids.
