A Mid-Atlantic car wash chain is poised to take over the closed car wash at 416 Ridge Pike in Plymouth Township.
Flagship Carwash is in the process of buying the property, which has been shut down and under renovation for more than a year, as first reported by MoreThanTheCurve on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Construction is nearly complete, according to a memo from the township's planning and zoning officer included in the Oct. 5 Plymouth Township Council workshop packet.
Plymouth Township Council is scheduled to vote on Resolution 2026-37 at its business meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13. The resolution would formally accept an assignment agreement between the seller, 416 Ridge Property LLC, and Flagship. It would transfer financial security obligations to the new buyer, requiring Flagship to post a new letter of credit guaranteeing completion of remaining site improvements.
The property carries a Conshohocken mailing address but sits within Plymouth Township limits. It operated as Ridge Pike Car Wash for decades. County property records show the site has been a car wash since approximately 1986. The property changed hands in 2022 when 416 Ridge Property LLC purchased it and began the renovation that has kept the site closed.
Plymouth Township's Spring 2025 newsletter listed the 416 Ridge Pike car wash renovation as one of just three land developments filed in the township in 2024.
A website at SpeedyCleanCar.com lists the same address and advertises a grand opening with two months of free car washes upon reopening. A Flagship logo recently appeared on the property's Google listing. The relationship between SpeedyCleanCar.com and Flagship has not been publicly confirmed.
Flagship Carwash, owned by Spotless Brands, operates more than 50 car washes across the Mid-Atlantic, concentrated in Virginia, Maryland and the Washington, D.C., area, according to Patch. The chain has been expanding into Pennsylvania, where it recently acquired Pete's Express and now has roughly a dozen locations open or coming soon. Its nearest existing site to the Plymouth Township property is at 2615 Ridge Pike in Trooper, just a few miles up the same road.
According to BL Companies, a design firm working with Spotless Brands, a key part of Flagship's growth strategy involves converting former Rite Aid and CVS pharmacy properties into car wash facilities.
No specific reopening date for the 416 Ridge Pike location has been announced. The council's Oct. 13 vote on the assignment agreement is the next public step before the property can open under the Flagship name.
