The Norristown NAACP will host a Back-to-School Game Night on Sept. 19 at the East Norriton Fieldhouse, with $15 tickets covering an evening of games, prizes, music, dancing and food.
The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. at 2501 Stanbridge St. Proceeds support the branch's work in Norristown and surrounding communities, according to the Colonial School District community announcements page where the event was posted. Colonial SD serves families across Plymouth and Whitemarsh townships.
Children ages 5 and under get in free. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult over 21.
Residents who cannot attend can buy a "donate a ticket" admission for $15. The NAACP Norristown Branch selects the recipients. Tickets are available through the branch's Zeffy page. The branch, a 501(c)(4) organization, notes contributions are generally not tax-deductible.
