A fast-casual bowl-and-smoothie chain co-founded by a Blue Bell native has signed a lease to open its tenth location and corporate headquarters on Fayette Street in Conshohocken, with a projected opening in early 2027.
Goodness Bowls, the "healthy eats café" launched in 2019 by mother-daughter duo Sue and Corinne Persichetti, will take over the two-story building at 200 Fayette St. that housed La Bella Moda bridal shop for 45 years before it closed at the end of May, MoreThanTheCurve reported Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The lease is signed.
Sue Persichetti was born in Conshohocken, grew up in Blue Bell and still has family in the area. The Persichettis plan to use the Conshohocken location as a launchpad for the chain's next growth phase.
The first floor will house the restaurant, while the second floor will hold additional seating and the company's corporate offices. Conshohocken-based realtor Donna Totaro represented property owner Lena Pagano in the lease deal, according to MoreThanTheCurve.
Pagano purchased the building in 1995 and ran La Bella Moda there starting in 1981. Her granddaughter Gabriella took over the bridal shop in 2020 before announcing its closure in April. In that announcement, the shop said it had been "a true honor" to serve the community for 45 years.
What's on the menu
Goodness Bowls serves made-to-order açaí, pitaya, green and warm protein bowls, along with smoothies, cold-pressed juices, toasts and wraps. The chain describes its food as using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, according to its website.
The company already operates nine locations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, including a Spring House store at 832 N. Bethlehem Pike, just minutes from Blue Bell. Other locations include Villanova, Narberth, Collegeville, Paoli, Scranton, Avalon, Sea Isle City and Haddon Township. The stores are a mix of corporate-owned and franchise operations.
Conshohocken will be the first corporately owned store in this expansion and the tenth overall.
No building permits for the fit-out at 200 Fayette St. have been publicly filed yet, and no specific construction timeline beyond the early 2027 target has been announced. Residents can track updates at goodnessbowls.com.
