The Norristown Garden Club will stage a free flower show at the St. Helena School Gymnasium in Blue Bell on Saturday, Sept. 12. The show runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature floral arrangements, live plants and crafts.
The event follows the National Garden Clubs (NGC) Standard Flower Show format, which requires a minimum of 20 exhibits featuring fresh plant material. No artificial plants are allowed. The show must include both a horticulture division and a design division, according to the NGC.
Show co-chairs Jane Irvin-Klotz and Arlene Reagan-Harris described a two-day setup process to transform the gymnasium into the exhibition space, The Times Herald reported. The Norristown-based club has staged similar shows in previous years.
The club said it hopes residents will come out to see the designs, flowers and crafts on display.
The gymnasium is at 1301 Yost Road, Blue Bell, according to the show announcement. Admission is free. No registration is required.
