Families at Colonial Elementary School in Plymouth Meeting have until 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, to pre-register for the school's Fall Festival classroom party.
The festival takes place Friday, Oct. 30, and includes a parade in the school auditorium followed by classroom parties, according to the school's announcement. The parade is open to all families and does not require registration.
The classroom party does require it. Every visitor who plans to enter the building, including volunteers, must complete the "CES Pre-Registration Fall Festival" Google Form before the Monday morning cutoff. The school said no pre-registration badges will be issued after 9:30 a.m. that day, with no exceptions.
To fill out the form, families need a photo of a driver's license, passport or state-issued ID card. They also need the student's homeroom assignment. Visitor badges created from the completed form will be sent home with students Wednesday, Oct. 28, and the school asks families to wear the badge when attending the party.
Families who miss the deadline can still get a badge at the front door from staff member Mrs. DiSanto on the day of the event. The school cautioned that waiting in line will cut into time spent in the student's classroom.
The pre-registration requirement applies to all adults entering the building for the classroom party, not just parents. Volunteers and other family members must also complete the form.
