Amanda Soler took over as executive director of the Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Sept. 21, succeeding Judy Doherty, who held the post for more than a decade.

The chamber serves businesses across Bucks and Montgomery counties, a region that includes the Whitemarsh, Plymouth and Whitpain township areas. It announced the hire on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Patch also covered the appointment.

Soler spent about 31 years at the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce. Her LinkedIn profile lists her title there as chief operations officer from October 1991 to November 2022. She oversaw marketing, membership campaigns, strategy and programming, and edited the chamber's magazine.

A May 2024 profile by Goldstein Media described the publication as the award-winning "Who, What, Where, When" (W4) magazine and its successor, The Business & Arts Journal.

Soler also founded SolFul Living, a media platform, and hosts a podcast called "SolFul Connections."

In the chamber's announcement, Soler said she looks forward to working alongside members, the board of directors and community partners. She said she wants to build on the chamber's strengths and create opportunities for businesses and the people behind them.

"I am excited to listen, learn, and work alongside our members, our Board of Directors, and our community partners to build on the Chamber's strengths," Soler said.

Chamber president Patricia Hueber-Bodor said the board looks forward to Soler's leadership in creating new opportunities for members.

The chamber did not say why Doherty left. During her tenure, Doherty helped build relationships with businesses, community leaders and chamber members across the region, according to the chamber's announcement.
