Dave Pagett, the head golf professional at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, won the 2026 Philadelphia PGA Connelly Cup championship on Tuesday, carding a 2-under-par 69 at North Hills Country Club in Glenside for a one-stroke victory.

It's his second title in three years. Pagett won the same event in 2024 after a sudden-death playoff against Danny Lewis of Philadelphia Cricket Club.

"I stayed patient, played my own game and kept the ball in front of me," Pagett said after the round, according to the Philadelphia PGA Section.

Michael Little of Clubhouse 54 finished runner-up at 1-under-par 70. Four players tied for third at even-par 71, including John Cooper of Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill. Cooper also shared the Senior Division title with George Forster of Radnor Valley Country Club after both posted 71s.

Two Lafayette Hill head pros finished in the top three. Green Valley, where Cooper serves as head professional, features a William Flynn-designed course just minutes from Whitemarsh Valley's George C. Thomas Jr. layout on Thomas Road.

Pagett credited his caddie Rob and the support of Whitemarsh Valley Country Club and his family throughout the season. The club, established in 1908 on 125 acres adjacent to the Morris Arboretum and historic Erdenheim Farm, hosted PGA Tour events from 1963 through 1980.

The Philadelphia PGA Section covers eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, managing nearly 900 PGA of America members and associates across more than 590 golf facilities.
