Plymouth Township's Park, Recreation and Shade Tree Advisory Board meets July 28 at the Greater Plymouth Community Center. The meeting is open to the public.
The seven-member citizen board, chaired by Shannon Dryden, advises Township Council on park operations, recreation programming, and shade tree preservation across Plymouth's 11 parks and 149 acres of green space. Phil Brady, the township's Parks & Recreation director, serves as staff liaison.
Specific agenda items for Tuesday have not been publicly released. Earlier this year, the board's January meeting listed the GPCC pool renovation, the GPCC soccer field, outdoor basketball courts, and JFK Park improvements among ongoing projects. Township Council in February approved a contract with YSM Landscape Architects for a GPCC Park Conceptual Plan, according to the council's February 9 meeting packet.
The Greater Plymouth Community Center logged more than 345,000 patron visits in 2024, according to the township's Spring 2025 newsletter.
The board meets six times per year. Its next session after Tuesday is scheduled for October 2026.
