Plymouth Township residents can meet local police officers, connect with neighbors, and catch a free concert all in one evening when National Night Out returns to Community Center Park on August 4.
Plymouth Township, the Greater Plymouth Community Center, and the Plymouth Township Police Department are co-hosting the gathering, according to the township's event listing published July 23. The police department is celebrating 75 years of service in 2026, according to the township's spring newsletter. Chief John C. Myrsiades leads the department, which serves approximately 18,000 residents.
National Night Out is a nationwide program now in its 43rd year. It was founded in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch, an organization with roots in Philadelphia's western suburbs.
Concert in the Park the same night
Residents who stay past 8 p.m. will also hear Kevin Kenny, a Kenny Chesney tribute act, performing as part of the Concert in the Park series at Greater Plymouth Community Center Park, according to the GPCC calendar. The music overlaps with the final 90 minutes of National Night Out.
