A section of Emerson Drive between Joshua Road and Christie Circle in Whitemarsh Township is closed to through traffic on weekdays for stormwater pipe replacement, according to a civic alert the township posted Friday, July 17.
The closure began Monday, July 20, and runs 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through approximately Friday, July 31. No street parking is permitted on the affected stretch during work hours.
The road reopens each evening. Emergency vehicles and mail carriers retain access throughout.
The township's notice does not name the contractor or provide a project cost. The end date is approximate and may shift depending on construction progress.
