Colonial School District hosts trail run Oct. 17 in Conshohocken

Colonial School District hosts "Paint the Trail Purple," a 2.65-mile family fun run and walk along the Schuylkill River Trail on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The paved route starts at the intersection of Lee Street and the Schuylkill River Trail at 1101 E. Hector St. in Conshohocken, according to the district's announcement. Participants head out along the trail, turn around at the Cross County Trail intersection and come back. The event is pet-friendly.

Participants can start between 11 a.m. and noon. Registration costs $35 plus a $3.10 sign-up fee and closes at 11:59 a.m. on Oct. 17. Virtual options are also available: a 5K walk, 5K run or 5K bike ride for those who cannot attend in person.
